Strength & Durability
There’s a reason Pavire Paver Driveways specializes exclusively in replacing concrete driveways and asphalt driveways with high quality paving stone driveways–no other driveway material is as strong or durable.
Over the past three decades, we’ve replaced thousands of failed concrete driveways and asphalt driveways. Why? Minnesota’s harsh climate and temperature extremes push any driveway material to extremes. Expansion/contraction of pavement materials due to freezing and thawing, particularly those upon the prevalent heavy clay soils, can cause poured concrete driveways to crack and fail prematurely. In fact, it’s not uncommon for us to replace concrete driveways that are less than 10 years old! In contrast, paver driveways easily handle these temporary variances, returning to their original state as weather conditions stabilize.
In addition, concrete pavers are created to be stronger from the start—they are literally built to last. Manufactured in a controlled environment, concrete pavers can withstand as much as 12,000 psi (pounds per square inch) —that’s almost three times stronger than regular concrete! They’re also 3 times denser than regular concrete—they absorb very little moisture (less than 5%). This makes them much less likely for individual pavers to chip, crack or break down in harsh weather conditions.
As a result, you can be assured your paver driveway will look great and last for decades to come.
